This meditation calls for the individual to cultivate
mindful breathing through simple counting.

Find yourself in a comfortable seat, tuning into your breath and breath sensations. Begin to deepen each breath ~ slow and controlled inhale // slow release each exhale.
With each full breath (inhale and exhale) count up from “one” to “ten,” shifting your awareness only to the numbers. When you reach ten, begin again with “one”. If your mind begins to wander and you lose count, begin again with “one”.
Counting Zazen shows us that no matter what happens on our journey, we are always able to return to one, and oneness.
